Mumbles is a anthology magazine of illustrated stories produced by artist John Eberly during the 1980s in Wichita, Kansas. Issue #2 features stories and illustrations by John Eberly, Steve Willis, Clay Geerdes, The Pizz, Bob “X”, Joe Schwind, Dennis Worden, Jim Ryan, Lynn Hansen, Clark A. Dissmeyer, Bob Lewis, Tom Brinkmann, Mike Hill, Randy Raske, Bobby Pfeffer, Brad Foster, Michael Rosen, Dale Luciano, Michael Dowers, Creg Blair, Scott Stevens, Peter Dako, Chuck Lipscomb, T.S. Child, Chas Dedmon, John Crawford, Ron Stallbaumer, (photo credit, The Mumbles), and Xno. Eberly is well known in the underground mail-art scene of the 1980s and 1990s and was incredibly prolific. He’s also known as a musician with numerous cassette and CD releases, also a founding member of the band “The Mumbles” and The Eberly Brothers both of which are featured in the Demolition Kitchen Video collection here on the Internet Archive.
